Westport House and Pirate Adventure Park is an extraordinary mixture of history, culture and fun all in one and is a major attraction. In addition to Westport House, this beautiful 480 acre estate has a family-friendly Pirate Adventure Park and Adventure Activity Centre.
Westport Golf Club has played host to the 2002 Smurfit Irish P.G.A. Championship, and is a magnificent 18 hole parkland course with breath taking views of Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay.
Horse Riding and Pony Trekking is on offer all year round at Drumindoo Stud. Clay pigeon shooting, sea angling, hill walking, sailing and adventure sports are among the many other activities on offer to the visitor.
Sea Angling: Boats may be hired by groups or individuals that leave the harbour daily, bound for the rich fishing grounds in the Bay, where a variety of fish offer excellent sport. . For a modest license fee, a day or a week's fishing may be had.
