Stayed Friday and Saturday night in Atlantic Coast Hotel & C Spa in Westport. Read some mixed reviews on Tripadvisor about the hotel and was a little worried before leaving.
On arrival, easy to find the ...
hotel and good location. Stunning views outside. Room was clean, comfortable, warm, all that you'd expect from a 4 star hotel.
Reception staff were friendly and gave us advice on where to shop, eat, local sights etc. Most helpful.
Bar had live musician in the evenings. Great way to start the night before heading out into the town.
Will most certainly be returning to Westport in the new year! ---

We'd a lovely Weekend in this hotel. We checked in late and ordered delicious food with the room service. The rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and the power of the shower was fabulous. The leisure facilities were great and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will be back!!!!

It was our honeymoon while we were there which I informed you of on our booking and my sister rang to tell you on the day we were arriving. It isn't that I expected a free room or anything but even just a congratulations from the receptionist would have been appreciated. Other than that we had no complaints and had a lovely time.

Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to belatedly congratulate you both on your recent marriage and wish you both the very best. We generally pride ourselves on our attention to detail at all stages of guest interaction and why we did not pick up on a chance to further enhance your stay with us, is a cause for concern.
I have spoken to the relevant team members and collectively we have taken the necessary corrective action to ensure we do not have a similar issue reoccurring.

embarrassed, the management, on the contrary, could not have been more helpful and sympathetic. I would very much recommend a stay at the Atlantic coast Hotel situated as it is in probably the most beautiful and unspoiled part of Ireland. ---

my family stayed and absolutely loved the friendly family atmosphere of hotel and its staff. Although the Blue Wave restaurant was not open on the Sunday or Monday of our stay, the same menu was presented in the Bistro which was a much nicer setting. Rooms were comfortable. We booked under the midweek special: 2 nights B&B and 1 Dinner for 2 people at only E200. Great value for a great hotel in a magnificent setting. ---

We were only here for one short evening but found the place friendly and relaxing. Lovely location and a nice walk into town along the old railway track. In our view the restaurant could benefit from a more modern opened-up design allowing it to take better advantage of the surrounding mountains and sea.
Would certainly hope to come again.

Mayo. The restaurant was clean and efficient, and while the breakfast menu was excellent, we were disappointed by the lack of choice for the evening meal. The choices for the main course consisted of two types of fish, chicken or vegetarian. When we inquired about a meat course we were told that it was not included in our package. We ate in the bar on two separate occasions and found the food there to be excellent. We will return to the hotel again but we will not have our evening meal in the restaurant. The leisure center is not as luxurious as it appears on the brochure, and the changing rooms there could do with a revamp. All in all a wonderful hotel and despite the one or two points mentioned, a place we would definitely recommend. ---

Firstly thank you for both your positive and constructive feeback, all of which has been passed onto the relevant staff and management.
We currently have three menu offerings in our Blue Wave Restaurant i.e our early bird menu, package menu and full table d'hote menu. Should a guest find one of these menus limiting, we strive to offer an alternative choice from one of the above menus, or indeed a new alternative altogether.
Why this did not happen on this occasion was a failure on our behalf and has been addressed throught training with all relevant staff.
Once again thank you for valuable feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel sometime in the future.

This is the 7th time we have stayed in this hotel we noticed the hotel has been re papered and given a face lift. We love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone ( and have done so!!) The early bird menu is a good idea but something a little simpler would have been great.
