The Early Bird menu in the restaurant is very good value and the food was nice. Staff in the restaurant and at breakfast were courteous and very efficient. The room had a lovely view, but we were given ...
a family room with a small double bed and a single (Silver Surfer's package)! There was an interleading door to the next room. Our main problem was that the small double was just that - small, and the mattress protector was too small for the bed and was laid on the mattress and not fitted to it and also stained. Discovered when the bottom sheet came adrift. We ended up having to use both the beds in order to be comfortable. Please ask guests if this type of room would suit them at booking. ---

Most worrying of all is the manner in which you found the mattress protector. We generally pride ourselves on our high level of cleanliness, but obviously this very important area was overlooked in this particular bedroom. You can be assured that this issue has been communicated to the relevant management and team members and collectively we have taken the necessary corrective action.
In the meantime, thank you again for both your positive and constructive comments, all of which greatly contribute to us continually improving our standards.

effort was made to accommodate our wishes. We had a private dinner in the Atlantic Suite. The food was superb, not remotely like the usual 'function fare'. All our rooms were comfortable and we were made feel very welcome. We would recommend the Carlton Atlantic unreservedly ---

Having stayed in the Atlantic Coast hotel for the second time, my family and I enjoyed the experience and look forward to returning again. The staff were friendly, the facilities good and the location is beautiful. You will notice that my review only offers a 3 star rating for the restaurant as my stay was during off peak and the restaurant was only open for breakfast.

I try to visit Westport at least once a year and always stay at the Carlton Atlantic Coast. This year we stayed for 3 nights with one evening meal for under €120. A fantastic deal for such a good ...
hotel.As always rooms were spotless and well equipped. Service and staff were second to none. Meals in both restaurant and bar were excellent, as usual.
What more can I say than I will return to stay here whenever I visit lovely Westport. ---

We had a really lovely stay in the Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel. We booked the Clew Bay Suite for the duration of our stay. What i didn't expect though was that when i entered our room, a stale musty ...
smell greeted us. It was horrendous and mostly confined to the bathroom area so i didn't pay much attention to it the first night. When the smell had not
gone on Saturday morning i spoke to reception and asked them to rectify the problem. On returning to the room the smell appeared to have gone, however
it did return again later that night. This was the only part of my stay that i was really disappointed about. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar and the restaurant and the food was superb. The C Spa was amazing and very relaxing. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay but we were disappointed with the horrible smell in the bedroom ---

Firstly, I would like to extend my apologies for the very unpleasant environment that you had to experience throughout periods of your stay.
This is the first time that we have experienced any such issues and are currently fully investigating the matter to ensure we have no similar reoccurrences.

poll/sauna and steams room, all of which were immaculately clean and well looked after. We were lucky with the weather, the view was spectacular. Flat calm waters and ultra clear views of Croagh Patrick all of which could be seen from the sky-line windows of the top floor. I will certainly be back.

accompany our celebratory occasion. Our meal in the restaurant was superb as were the following 2 breakfasts. Refreshing use of the leisure facilities helped our tired limbs after tackling Croagh Patrick. A weekend to cherish! ---

The Atlantic Carlton in Westport is a really great place to stay - three of us went there for a birthday celebration and got great rates - it worked out at around 60 euro each for two nights (room only). The staff couldn't have been more helpful at every turn. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a break in Westport.

Stayed on a 2 nights half price B&B deal and couldn't be happier with the service and value. Excellent breakfasts and friendly staff. Didn't use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on those aside from breakfast.
