My husband and I had a lovely stay at the hotel. Only negative was that the gym was quite small, but it was nice that they had some equipment for guests. Lovely spacious clean room, Fishworks was excellent, and very nice breakfast.

We stayed for two nights over Christmas with our 6 year old. We had a lovely big family room. The facilities for families were excellent. We ate in the bar one night and the food was very good. We enjoyed the live music. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I had a treatment in the spa and it was divine!

Stayed 2 nights for a break and it was bliss, clean nicely decorated room with stunning view, helpful friendly reception and dining staff, great dinner,(didn't try the bar) and yes I am a real guest!! So impressed I have already booked my Mum and Aunt in for a break.

I selected this hotel because of the great offer. When we arrived (4 of us) we were welcomed warmly and the staff could not do enough to make us comfortable. One of the rooms' heaters was not working but ... the manager got us a new room straight away. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good and surprisingly inexpensive. The staff helped me find a residential telephone number from one of Mom's childhood friends (being from the town) which meant Mom could call over to see her after 30 something years. Fantastic! All in all a great stay, really made all the difference in our journey. Will definitely come back again. The positive,warm and caring attitude of the staff is why. ---

We had a fabulous time at the Carlton Atlantic Coast. A really welcoming spot, with two great restaurants, a beautiful spa, sparkling rooms and a laid-back bar. Plus, did we mention the location? Will be back. Bernard and Niamh

We stayed here for 2 nights in October. Room was lovely with a fabulous view. Breakfast was really nice as well. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we had a massage after climbing the reek which was just wonderful. Fabulous pool as well with hair straighteners in the changing rooms! I would definitely stay here again.

have stayed in this hotel a few times now and could not ask for better ,just looking forward every time to a fabulous dinner in the blue wave restaurant,the menu and food are second to none complimented by staff who could not do enough for you, heading back at end of march and looking forward to it.

Spent a weekend at the Atlantic Coast Hotel in Westport and I have to say that we have a brilliant time. The Hotel was faultless in every regard, the food and room were impeccable, and the entertainment was great. Would highly recommend it for both young and old.

Stayed for 3 nights with 3 small children. The children were treated like royalty, they can't wait to go back !! Lovely rooms, lovely food, both in the restaurant and the bar. Definitely the most welcoming hotel we've stayed in, as parents of young children.

Really enjoyed 2 nights away, although the hotel is not situated in the center of town, we thoroughly enjoyed the local restaurants nearby, and it was no problem to book a taxi to explore further. The ... breakfast was without doubt a treat, table service was a welcomed surprise and added a special element to the stay, my only comment would be that it was shame that it didn't extend to the weekend morning. ---
