Coming from a five star hotel in Spiddal and a family wedding, my Canadian visitors wished to visit the Famine Memorial in Murrisk and then travel on to visit Knock. Didn't know what to expect, but from ...
talking to the really welcoming and professional receptionist things looked good. So they proved to be. We had two adjoining rooms, both of which had a welcoming fruit plate and bottled water on arrival. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a further good experience.The staff were so pleasant and well trained throughout, I was happy to be Irish. Thank you all for your friendliness allied to a good knowledge of you county and the West Coast. ---

Thoroughly enjoyed our couple of nights in the Atlantic Coast. Lovely location, close enough to town but nice, quiet and scenic. Couldn't have been looked after better!

A beautiful new hotel, friendly staff, fine setting.
I wonder if you could provide free wireless networking instead of the Bitbuzz? The bar was closed during our stay but this did not reduce our enjoyment.

Service in Restaurant very bad at breakfast, staff not organised. Standard of food very good, good location, leisure centre could do with being updated.

I have fully looked into breakfast service the morning you stayed with us and we did indeed have some operational issues on that particular morning.
I would also like to guarantee you that this is not the general level of breakfast service that we offer our guests.
All of your issues have been communicated to the necessary management and staff and collectively we are taking the required action and training to ensure we do not have a repeat performance.

Croke Patrick Climbers & Party Group!!!! |
We went to Westport (six of us) to climb Croke Patrick which we did on the Friday afternoon. We had a fantastic meal on Friday night afterward. Breakfast both mornings was second to none and our room was both elegant and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking another trip in the near future to a sister hotel.

Stayed at Atlantic coast for three nights had a room which looked over the bay on the first floor. Excellent stay weather was really good which helped a lot. Staff were excellent, hotel management should ...
do their best to hold on to those people. Only fault I have tour buses use this hotel and they leave early morning ie around nine so if you want a long lie in and you're at the front of the hotel it can be a bit noisy, but other than that an excellent stay. ---

If more Irish hotels had the same professional approach to tourism and the same attitude then Ireland's reputation as the land of a thousand welcomes would be well and truly restored.

booking with the hotel for my best friend's hen and of course as with all group bookings there were changes along the way. But it didn't matter, the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful and so even before we got to the hotel we had a good impression of it.
And we weren't to be disappointed. The staff were so helpful and friendly it made the stay worthwhile.
In total a group of 14 of us stayed at the hotel, some for one night and some for two.
Before we even arrived at the hotel the staff were helpful in providing us with information about hairdressing services nearby.
On the Friday evening we ate at the hotel and as we were browsing menus in the bar the staff had already set a table for us in the bistro.
The staff at this hotel went out of their way to be helpful. On the Saturday morning we were served in the breakfast room by a helpful waiter who set up a table especially for our group and that night when we got back from the nightclub he was serving behind the bar, and still with a smile on his face.
The location is beautiful and picturesque, it's only downside is that it's a little out of the town. But there is a good taxi service in Westport, reasonably priced and taxi drivers are very friendly and helpful.
I couldn't recommend the hotel highly enough and Westport itself is a fabulous location, absolutely ideal for hen parties or group holidays as groups are well received in the town. ---

Room was ok, smell of cigarettes, tv not working and had a terrible view (no sign of the Atlantic Coast). Nice bar and all staff were very friendly. Spa/pool were excellent.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the shortcomings that you experienced while recently staying with us.
We generally adhere to strict procedures to ensure that all rooms are free from cigarette odours (including having no allocated smoking rooms in the hotel), but obviously fell short in our cleaning procedures somewhere along the way.
You can be guaranteed that this is being fully looked at, to ensure we do not have a repeat performance.
Should you wish to stay with us in the future, please ask for me directly and I will gladly ensure that you receive a complimentary upgrade to one of our harbour view rooms.
In the meantime, I would like to thank you for both your constructive and positive feedback, all of which will be passed onto all of the relevant team members.

We enjoyed our stay at the Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel in Westport. We stayed in the Clew Bay Suite, which was fine. We would have liked to have had the TV in the Living area as we have a toddler & he ...
would have been sleeping in the bedroom, so as a result, we couldn't watch any programmes once baby was in bed. No matter, it was comfortable & we would consider going back there again, subject to the Clew Bay Suite being available! It was great value for money though - both the accommodation plus the restaurant. And breakfast was special.
